In September 2018, I was walking ten kilometres every morning and I would often play the guitar when I got home. The “Ch’val” project was born while thinking about my sister Carole, who passed away in 2010. In February 2020, I started recording every day. I kept working as we all went into COVID mode on March 13. Every morning I advanced, piece by piece, block by block, drums, bass, guitars… The pieces were constructed spontaneously. Nearly finished at the end of March and then put aside, I listened to this music for a long time before deciding to publish “Ch’val”, 13 pieces for virtual rock band, dedicated to “the one who dreamed of horses.”

En septembre 2018, je marchais mes dix kilomètres tous les matins. En rentrant, il m’arrivait souvent de jouer de la guitare. C’est en pensant à ma sœur Carole, disparue en 2010, que le projet «Ch’val» est né. À compter de février 2020 j’ai enregistré tous les jours. Le 13 mars on est passé en mode COVID, et j’ai poursuivi le travail. Chaque matin, pièce par pièce, j’avançais bloc par bloc, batteries, basse, guitares. Les morceaux se construisaient spontanément. À peu près terminé fin mars et mis de côté, par la suite, je l’ai beaucoup écouté avant de décider de publier «Ch’val», 13 pièces pour band de rock virtuel, en dédicace «À celle qui rêvait de chevaux».
